How long does an extension to scope take?+
Plan 3–6 months end-to-end. ASQA's published assessment timeframe is shorter but evidence build, industry consultation and trainer alignment are the real time drivers.
Do I need to deliver the qualification before applying?+
No. You apply with a Training and Assessment Strategy and readiness evidence — you must be ready to deliver compliantly from day one of approval, not before.
What's the ASQA fee for extension to scope?+
ASQA charges per qualification added. Fees range roughly $500–$2,000 per qualification plus assessment fees if your application is escalated.
Can I market the qualification before approval?+
No. Marketing or accepting enrolments for a qualification not yet on your scope is a serious non-compliance with consumer protection implications. Wait for the formal scope amendment.
